Daily Centring Breath + Meditation

Daily Centring Breath + Meditation

Centring is ensuring your physical and spiritual bodies and occupied and present in the same space. It’s about being fully present in your body. Being centred is your natural state of being. No matter how much time you’ve spent in an un-centred state throughout your life, you can always come back to a place of centred-ness.

This centring practice is beneficial when you are feeling unfocused or unbalanced, and is a foundational step in an energy protection practice.

CENTRING PRACTICE STEPS:

1️⃣ Sit comfortably and close your eyes.

2️⃣ Take long deep breaths through the nose. Taking in the air down to your belly, and exhaling fully until your lungs are empty.

3️⃣ While breathing, focus on relaxing your physical body. Start with the top of your head, then progressively move down through all parts of your body. Gathering up stress and tension with inhales, and releasing it with your exhales.

4️⃣ Once your body is feeling fully relaxed, use your mind’s eye to sense your emotional body (the 2nd layer of the aura field, the emotional center.) With each breath, concentrate on any emotions that you’re feeling and just let them be. Acknowledging your emotions is enough to center your emotional body.

5️⃣ Next is the mental body (3rd layer of the aura). Follow the same process. Simply acknowledge the thoughts that come up in your mind, then let them be.

6️⃣ With your mind’s eye, visualize the remaining 4 layers of your aura collectively (these are the spiritual layers, and aren’t as easy to access as the first 3 layers of the aura). To bring these layers of your aura in a centred state, breathe and visualize these layers surrounding you in your energy field  taking their natural position around your physical body.

7️⃣ Once you’ve mindfully acknowledged the 7 layers/bodies of your aura, focus your attention on the center of your heart and visualize your heart chakra magnetizing all 7 layers towards it, energetically hooking into your heart center. As the connecting point of your physical and energetic bodies, the heart is a steering wheel for your centeredness, so hooking your auric layers to it secures this state.

8️⃣ Once you feel present, centered and focused take a few more deep breaths before opening your eyes.
